The PR card is a document of identification for permanent residents of Canada. When someone from Canada travels outside, they are required to show their PR Card along with their passport while returning. The PR card needs to be renewed in case of expiration.
The residents of Canada require a PR Card when they return from outside via train, plane, or bus. Therefore, the residents need to check the date of expiry of their PR Card before leaving Canada. The PR Card has a validity of 5 years. If a PR card expires or expires within nine months, you can apply for a new one.
